Privacy
This page explains in plain language what QuizMaster stores and why. It is a summary of how the app works, not a legal document.
What is stored online
- A sign-in identifier. Guest players get a random ID. Players who use Google sign-in get an ID linked to their Google account. QuizMaster does not read or store your email address, real name or photo.
- Your nickname and your stats: games played and best score.
- Leaderboard scores: your nickname, points, difficulty level, topic and the time the game was finished.
- Questions you create, together with your sign-in ID, so that only you can delete them.
Who can see it
- The leaderboard shows nickname, points, level and topic to signed-in players.
- Questions you create can be played by everyone.
- Your sign-in ID and stats are not shown to other players.
Please use a nickname
Choose a nickname that does not include your real name, school, address or contact details.
What is kept on your device
- Your light or dark theme choice and a copy of your best score.
- Your sign-in session, so you stay signed in.
- A saved copy of the app, so it can open without internet.
QuizMaster does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not use analytics.
Services that process data
- Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) stores the online data listed above.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Your browser requests the font files from Google when a page loads, which shares your IP address with Google.
Removing your data
To ask for a nickname, score or question to be removed, contact the site owner through the project page: https://github.com/babatundeawo/quizmaster.
