The full official rule set

Forty tiles from BÈRÈ to Banana Island, ₦200 for passing GO, income and luxury tax, doubles, jail and bankruptcy, all implemented as in the printed rulebook.

Real auctions

Decline to buy and the property goes to auction. Every player, you included, can bid.

Houses and hotels

Own a full, unmortgaged colour set, then build evenly. The bank only holds 32 houses and 12 hotels.

Mortgages and trading

Raise cash at half price, pay it back with 10% interest, or swap properties and cash with any opponent.

Computer opponents

Fill any seat with the computer. It rolls, buys, bids and answers trade offers on its own.

Naija from tile to token

Aza Chance and Ileya Chest cards, Kirikiri Prison, NEPA and NITEL, railways from Lagos to Port Harcourt, and tokens like the Okada, Talking Drum and Naira Note. All money is in ₦.

Sound and camera

Synthesised sound effects you can mute, and a camera that follows the active player or shows the whole board.

How it works

The rules in short.

Setup

Each player starts with ₦1,500. Pass or land on GO (BÈRÈ) to collect ₦200.

Buying and auctions

Land on an unowned property to buy it at the listed price, or decline: it then goes to auction among all players (including you), and the highest bidder wins.

Rent

Rent is owed automatically when you land on another player's property, unless it is mortgaged. Owning a full colour group doubles unimproved rent. Railways: ₦25/50/100/200 for 1/2/3/4 owned. Utilities: 4× the dice roll for one owned, 10× for both.

Building

Own every property in a colour group (all unmortgaged) to build houses, then a hotel, evenly across the group. The bank has a limited supply: 32 houses and 12 hotels.

Mortgages

Sell all houses first, then mortgage a property for half its price. Unmortgage any time for the mortgage value plus 10% interest.

Trading

Propose property and cash swaps with any other player at any time on your turn.

Taxes

Import Duty Tax lets you choose a flat ₦200 or 10% of your net worth. Luxury Tax is a flat ₦100.

Kirikiri Prison

Enter via the “Go To Kirikiri Prison” tile, a card, or 3 doubles in a row. Escape by rolling doubles, paying ₦50 bail, using a Get-Out-of-Jail-Free card, or after 3 failed turns (then ₦50 is paid automatically).

Free Parking

Nothing happens. This follows the official rules: there is no jackpot.

Bankruptcy

If you cannot pay a debt, houses are sold and properties mortgaged automatically. If you are still short, you are out. The last player standing wins.
